Everyone from Hale was built by Hale – Hale being both the world and the massive robot who fills it. His children call themselves the Praxis and Hale, Grandfather. Built from his body, they are often very protective of him. Most of them never leave Hale, but some become Hands and set out on adventures. Regardless, every Praxis still has a direct link to Hale that transcends dimensions. Wherever they are, they can access Grandfather’s memories. If it’s something Hale could know, they’ll know it too. Eventually.
WHERE THEY’RE FROM
While all Praxis are built by Hale, not all of them resemble machines. Hale is part biological and his children reflect that. But all of them are built to withstand the constant electrical storms and punishing gravity of the magnetic battery banks that keep Hale’s components running. Aside from the miles-tall humanoid head at the center of the world, Hale looks like any other bustling industrial city: ancient technology bumping against brand new, air filled with clangs and chimes and the deep thrum of activity underground.
ADVANTAGE: DIAL-UP
If Hale (a massive robot that has lived for millions of years) could reasonably be expected to know something, the Praxis will know it too. Once between rests, a Praxis can ask Grandfather a question and will receive an answer. They can also connect to him at any time just to chat – he loves hearing from his children.

Give me a few minutes and I can probably establish a direct link. He might be taking a nap.“
HEALING
All the Praxis understand electricity very well and can use it to rapidly heal wounds, though each charge must be used on two targets at the same time to establish a stable connection. A Praxis has three charges, and may expend one in melee range on any two targets (themselves included), healing half their max HP to each.
WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?
Whether cybernetically enhanced material or full-on robotics, the Praxis are, to a one, manufactured, with finishing touches applied by Hale.
