TEAM FOCUS (pick 2)
No one can do everything and this goes for Teams as well. Missions can be so varied that Teams usually develop a few specializations – methods of resolving issues in the field. Is your Team adept at solving mysteries? Physical conflict? Whatever your areas of focus, there are Missions that need it.
Teams who don’t have a particular specialization can ask for or accept Missions that fall under a different focus, but you may not be offered those Missions directly. CORSAIR doesn’t want Teams feeling conflicted when faced with Missions they’re not the best equipped for.
FOCUS AREAS
Your Team may be good at more than two – or all! – of these specializations, but this is not only an opportunity for roleplay, but making the GM’s life easier. A team uninterested in combat shouldn’t be dealing with a bevy of combat Mission options.
COMBAT
Fight, fight, and fight again! You may not always solve problems with violence, but it’s certainly your preference. Sometimes you have to go toe-to-toe with a foe, and you’re there with bells on.
DIPLOMACY
A smile and a handshake can get you pretty far. Knowing what the person across the table really wants can get you much farther. Negotiation, political maneuvering, and first contact are all in your future.
INVESTIGATION
Something weird is going on and that’s when you get interested. No situation is ever as simple as it seems on the surface and you want to uncover the truth. Someone else can clean up afterwards. Probably.
RESEARCH
How does it all WORK? It may seem foolhardy to be testing the new laws of reality while it’s under attack, but without understanding the systems behind it all, any rescue is only temporary. You want to know HOW and WHY things function.
STEALTH
Get in, get out, get it done. Even in an age of collaboration, sometimes problems have to be solved on the down-low, and you’re just the Team to call. Surveillance, rescues, even assassinations – there’s a lot going on in the shadows.
REALITY STABILIZATION
Whether you’re coming from a place of fascination or hate, handling Anomalies is what you do best. Wells, Fractures, Tribulations – doesn’t matter. You’re knowledgeable and effective at tackling the strangest threats reality faces.
During character creation, your Team should pick TWO areas of focus and no more – this helps your GM craft Missions that you’ll want to actually do. As your Team grows in experience, you can tackle other specializations if you want, but to start, keep it simple.
