SriDOS is a world of information – quite literally. The SriDOSi long ago evolved away from a need for physical bodies aside from a small drive containing their self – personality, memories, and skills. This core can be embedded into any pile of matter or force which is then assembled into the body of their choice by the SriDOSi core. Due to the energy expenditure involved in constructing a body, the SriDOSi tend to inhabit one for as long as they can – which may be centuries depending on the materials used.
Unlimited knowledge comes with a problem: how to find any of it -and- measure its relevance. SriDOSi are always paranoid about the quality of information they find unless it’s a first-person accounting. Experience can be trusted more than something that may no longer be applicable, and while uncovering what is useful is one of the first things a new SriDOSi learns, other civilizations can be frustrating or hard for them to navigate. You never realize how much junk data there is until it’s all there is.
WHERE THEY’RE FROM
Everything is information. Most of it is not useful or good information, unfortunately. Outside of its settlements for those who prefer bodies, the world is a nebulous sparkling field of data, not all of which is friendly. Graywash clouds and distracting advert particles are a constant threat, as are constructs that assemble themselves from related concepts. In SriDOS, the monsters build themselves.
ADVANTAGE: WHAT DOES THIS BUTTON DO?
Once between rests, a SriDOSi can merge with an object to know what it does. They won’t gain the Skills necessary to use it well, but they’ll understand the basic functions, how to perform them, the desired outcome of using it, and if it’s functional or not.

HEALING
Being made of hard light and controlled matter, SriDOSi are very easy to repair…for themselves. They get five charges for healing which may be used on themselves or allies but cannot be healed by anyone else.
WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?
SriDOSi are made of whatever matter was used by their core to create a body. There’s always a telltale glimmer around the boundaries of their being where the nanites stop.
